Magnolia School, a private, independent, liberal arts school for girls in K-8 seeks a Track & Field Coach for the 2025-2026 season.
Aligned with the objectives of Magnolia School Athletics, the coach strives for excellence within the bounds of good sportsmanship and actively works to develop our students’ athletic skills and abilities to their fullest potential. Furthermore, the coach plays a crucial role in building confident leaders who embody freedom and resilience, fostering a holistic approach to athletic development.
The coach serves as a liaison between parents, athletes, and the athletic director, ensuring clear communication and a cohesive team environment. This role involves not only fostering strong relationships but also addressing concerns and celebrating the successes of the athletes.
To maintain compliance with school policies, the coach completes Virtus child safety training and all required paperwork, demonstrating a commitment to the safety and well-being of the athletes. With a knowledge of track & field rules and regulations, the coach provides guidance on fair play and sportsmanship, ensuring that athletes understand the fundamentals of the sport.
In addition to coaching, the individual is responsible for creating and coordinating practice plans, drills, and workouts. This structured approach promotes teamwork, discipline, and a love for the game, helping athletes reach their full potential both on and off the field.
The track & field season runs from early February through late March. Practices are Monday-Thursday, 3:15-4:30 p.m. at alternating locations (on-campus and off-campus, location TBD). The meet schedule (approximately 3-4) will be organized by our athletic director. A stipend is offered for this position.
