Magnolia School’s faculty and administration maintain that good habits of the mind and of the heart are the building blocks of a woman’s personal excellence and success. To help each student reach her highest potential, Magnolia offers a balanced liberal arts course of studies spanning the arts, the humanities, mathematics and sciences. Students are stimulated to explore their intellectual strengths, interests and creative abilities through a challenging curriculum that promotes mastery of the skills and the knowledge base that lays the foundation for lifelong learning.

Parent Partnership

Parent partnership is foundational to the vision and philosophy of Magnolia School. We assist parents, as the primary educators of their children, in their noble mission of raising confident and accomplished young women.

It is our hope that a Magnolia School education will be seen as a work of friendship, a love that will bring the parents closer to their children, the teacher to her students and the students to one another.

We look forward to lively celebrations spearheaded by parent volunteers and celebrated with families and friends.

Personal Mentoring

We are particularly happy to be offering our one-on-one mentoring program, where every student is paired with a faculty advisor who serves as the student’s personal mentor. Faculty members are adult role models to whom students can turn for advice on everything from friendships to academics.

Mentors meet one-on-one with students regularly to discuss the student’s academic, extra-curricular, and personal growth. The mentor is an advocate for the student should she find herself struggling or in need of an extra challenge.

Indeed, our personal mentoring program is a key ingredient that enables Magnolia School to educate one child at a time.

All-Girls School

Magnolia School fosters a supportive and encouraging attitude towards learning and personal growth. In the all-girls environment, students are more actively engaged in intellectual, social, and co-curricular activities.

Magnolia girls are taught to take risks, get involved, and serve others. This kind of engagement keeps girls motivated, helps them build confidence and resilience, and prepares them for life beyond graduation.

Magnolia School aims to instill a deep understanding that all persons are beloved children of God. This vision of life is at the core of self-confidence and solidarity with others for which our students will be known. Serving each other is at the heart of Magnolia’s mission.

We teach the importance of Christian virtues, such as honesty, justice, charity, loyalty, and sincerity. We educate our students to be women who know that faith is a gift and a responsibility that calls for the integrity of life and a compassionate heart.

The School community comes together throughout the school year to work on projects that assist people and programs in our local communities.

From its founding, Magnolia School welcomes students of all faiths or of no particular faith and will respect the religious freedom of all.

Freedom and Responsibility

Responsible Use of Freedom

Freedom is a vital component of the atmosphere and overall tone of the education at Magnolia School. Freedom is necessary not only to develop authentic moral virtues, but also for authentic intellectual habits, since good behavior should not merely consist of exterior manners that please adults, but should connect with the interior, the heart of the person who truly desires to do good things.

Similarly, learning is not a game of grades and getting ahead, but should involve genuine interest, wonder, and a search for truth and beauty. Along with freedom, the girls are given an emphasis on the personal responsibility inherent in true freedom.
